Last night, Raise the Colours (RtC) put out a statement saying that Danny Tommo was ‘stepping back’ from their anti-migrant activities in northern France. Reporting it, we said that despite the ostensibly respectful tone, it sounded like there had been some fallout behind the scenes.
And we were right.
Later last night, Tommo himself popped up online, posting a long, rambling, whining video where he slagged off his former RtC comrade-in-arms Ryan Bridge. Together, they had organised highly-publicised expeditions to France where they slashed inflatable boats they found hidden on beaches and suspected of being used by people smugglers.
Betrayed
He had, he said, begged Bridge not to put out yesterday’s statement arguing that their differences should all be kept behind closed doors. But Bridge had betrayed him.
“Last thing I said to Ryan was, ‘No bad blood. Don’t put anything public. Walk away. You do what you do. I’ll do what I do. We’ll come together at some point…
“No, they decided to put a statement out, which then made the left start putting bloody news reports about me, saying ‘Danny Tommo has left the movement’”
At this point he showed Searchlight’s post on screen. And then it got nasty.
“I’ve been threatened not to do this video…
“Ryan Bridge threatened me tonight that he would ruin me, whatever that means, if I came on here and cleared the mess that he created yesterday.
“And it showed me a side of him that was very, very, very sinister”.
Business model
Behind the split, it seems, is a difference over the future of Raise the Colours. Tommo doesn’t spell out what it was, but he does suggest that, in his view, Ryan Bridge was going soft, wanting to set up structures for the campaign, and organise conferences and training courses.
A business model, of course, that might well appeal to Bridge, an alleged fraudster.
“A few weeks ago, there was a meeting with Raise the Colours and myself and a few others, and the meeting didn’t go very well. I am someone that needs stuff to happen now…
“His direction is not the direction that needs this country needs to go in. It’s too long-winded. The power has gone to his mind. He’s gone on GB News too many times”.
First we take Dover…
So now, Danny Tommo, the action man with the mouth that’s far too big for his own good, is calling on ‘the men of England’ to join with him in shutting down Dover and Calais. Yes, they are going to “take the beaches”.

“We’re going to go to Dover with our passports, you lot, and we’re going to go. We’re going to shock factor…
“So that’s the next move. Operation Overlord will consist of taking Dover and Calais at the same time. A shock factor move to kickstart what needs to happen…
“Dover and Calais need to be taken at the same time. We need British and English men to travel into France by any means possible, by air, land, or sea, and to wait within a 24-hour window to hit the beaches of Calais.
“At the very same time, Dover needs to hit. And what I mean by that is, is the whole place comes to a standstill…
“Everyone’s going to get nicked. We’re going to do what’s needed. The first one might be a bit rough, but I think a bit rough is what’s needed…
“No more fancy shit. No more shit. We’re going, and we’re going properly. And that’s it…”
National strike
The date he has in mind, it appears, is the same as that of Richard Donaldson’s fantasy, week-long Great British National Strike starting on 2 February.
Donaldson, however, is less than impressed and is calling on the two protagonists to “get your shit together”. Other right wingers online are calling the whole idea a police honey trap.
