Information from local councils is still coming in, and a complete picture may not emerge till Monday, but as things stand, these are fascist and far right candidates in the upcoming local council elections:

The British Democrats are standing Jim Lewthwaite in Wyke ward, Bradford and Chris Bateman in Castledon & Crouch ward, Basildon. And, as expected, Lawrence Rustem is standing for them in Shepway ward, Maidstone.

Also standing in this same ward is perennial fascist candidate Gary Butler, who contested the former Shepway North several times as National Front, BNP, English Democrat, and latterly (as now) Independent.

It seems likely that the Homeland Party will have just one candidate, Roger Robertson in Hartley Wintney ward.

Patriotic Alternative are backing just one independent candidate, in Central & West Bank ward, Halton.

The National Housing Party are fielding just one candidate as well, John Lawrence in Hollinwood ward, Oldham

On the broader scene, Reform UK have a full slate of candidates in two councils, Sunderland (25 candidates) and Hartlepool (12 candidates), but there are very few other councils where they have a significant number announced so far. Those few include Sandwell (18 candidates), Barnsley (10 candidates), Lincoln (10 candidates), and Southampton (8 candidates).

Another strong Reform UK slate just confirmed is Plymouth where they have 17 candidates for the 19 wards; in Plymstock, Dunstone they have a Heritage Party opponent. This seems to be one of the few Reform branches that has really kicked on since last year’s council elections, when Reform had only two Plymouth candidates. Sandwell has also shown a significant increase, doubling the number of candidates to 18.

As we understand it to date, only one council has a substantial slate of Heritage Party candidates, and that’s Southend (7 candidates).

To investigate fascists takes real courage and unusual commitment. The government, police, mainstream media occasionally take a look, but in the UK only Searchlight have kept at it, relentlessly and admirably, regardless of threat or obstacle. It’s journalism that matters. A rare thing.

The essence of trade unionism is solidarity, fairness and equality – for all workers – from all backgrounds. That’s why our fight against the far-right has always been part of our movement’s DNA. Searchlight is an incredibly important resource for trade unions and members to understand the contemporary tactics of far-right activity. Their work and intelligence gathering over the years have been incredibly insightful for the work we do, and how we fight the scourge of fascism.

In the campaign against the National Front, Searchlight provided a rich and utterly reliable basis for much ANL propaganda – particularly with reference to the two leading NF figures, John Tyndall and Martin Webster. The appearance of Tyndall in full nazi uniform, drawn from the archives of Searchlight, was a key part of ANL propaganda, coupled with deeply damaging nazi quotes from Webster.

Searchlight’s voice is more important than ever, and I am delighted that it will now be available to a wider audience than ever before in its new incarnation online. Searchlight has been extremely helpful over the years in exposing the far right, corruption, criminality and the murky links between organised crime and powerful interests in the UK and abroad. I wish Searchlight the very best.

British Jews have been persecuted over the centuries; British blacks since the Windrush generation of the 1950s; British Muslims, especially after the Islamist 9/11 and then 7/7 terrorist attacks in New York 2001 and London 2005. But until the last few years there has not been a simultaneous threat against all three British communities of Jewish, Black and Muslim Britons – meaning the need for Searchlight has never been greater.

Expelled Justice-of-the-Peace and “demented ferret” Benjamin Lee Walker cannot possibly have permitted Ukip to go unrepresented in these elections. An impossibility.

His best counterpoint to Part Eight claims, or other attempts to thwart Ukip’s sole raison d’etre, which is of course the diversion of legacies into the blackhole of a Trust under his control and only his control, is to argue Ukip continues to be a political party as mentioned in those Last Wills and Testaments.

The best way for this to be shown is for Ukip to contest elections, to fight which it allegedly has a legitimate need for funds.

Accordingly, I expect you will soon report Ukip candidates here and there, for the sake of appearances.

Evidence that Ukip itself funds anything significant at all, besides the lifestyle of Il Duce and maybe such clue-less, politically nil-experienced young fillies as he injects into the party’s topmost positions, is at best scant.

But, it could be enough to persuade the High Court Master concerned that, despite the flies, stink and skeleton protruding from rotting skin, there’s still life in the flogged nag. He probably won’t even know there are no deposits to pay for local elections, that expenses are met by the candidate himself, etc.

It is modelled on the BNP scam, but the sums involved are likely to be much larger.

I was right, for Ukip some how managed to dig up a measly dozen candidates across eleven wards, including a former FOR BRITAIN member who may not have realised that Anne Marie Waters has been closed out of Ukip’s leadership ”race”.
Ukip’s great fund-raiser https://www.gofundme.com/s?q=UKIP has been going for 22 days, but still not a single contribution, tragic.
Now the great Welsh patriots at https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1425917168031679 also have their cap out for your money; it beats me why they don’t they apply to loadsamoney Benjamin Lee Walker (you know, the one who forgot to tell the judicial panel about his five criminal convictions) or his flush Trust.

There’s a heavy Reform presence in Plymouth.
Is there any links with the planned Freeport development Zone. Which we now know includes Lithium, Tungsten rich Dartmoor….

    No mention of UKIP??
Expelled Justice-of-the-Peace and “demented ferret” Benjamin Lee Walker to whom all UKIP £££££ flows cannot possibly have permitted Ukip to go unrepresented in these elections.

Now I read you have found a few UKIP candidates scattered here and there, all for the sake of appearances. Miserably few, but that will not matter.
Evidence that Ukip itself funds anything significant at all, besides the lifestyle of the bullyboy and maybe such clue-less, politically nil-experienced, easy on the eye young fillies as this degenerate with multiple criminal convictions “inserts” into the party’s topmost positions without puppet NEC senile dementia patients’ knowledge leave aside consent, is scant.

https://www.yourharlow.com/2024/04/08/green-party-set-to-stand-over-twenty-candidates-at-may-local-elections-in-harlow and that is far more than UKIP has nationally! UKIP is deader than a nail for a door made with two very short thick planks. UKIP used to have 800 Cllrs nationally, but since last May, it has ZER0. It used to have 40,000 members (now fewer than 200) and enter many thousands of candidates in locals. The Harlow three boast they have thousands in their neck of the woods — killing myself laughing at their ignorance and delusion…. one born every minute.
